Welcome to Kansas ASA's Youth Program established in 1962.
Kansas ASA is non profit,
volunteer driven membership organization that offers softball competition
for Girls' Coach and Fast Pitch teams. Teams will be eligible for
KASA $50 Certificates and prizes
at select tournaments.

2010 Amended Youth Team Requirements
for Championship Play:
- All team members including the Manger, Coaches,
and Players must be Kansas ASA Individually Registered to participate on
the field of play or in the dugout.
- A minimum of one Coach must have a current ACE
Certification and present on the field of play or in the dugout.
We highly recommend that all coaches be ACE Certified.
- All non ACE Certified team Managers and Coaches
must have a current ASA Background Check when participating on the field
of play or in the dugout.
- Combined Individual Registration and ACE
Certification with Background Check, or Individual Registration and
Background Check Certification Cards are available free upon request.

Insurance:
-
$5,000,000 per occurrence/$8,000,000 aggregate (per
team) of Liability Insurance.

$250,000 Excess Accident medical Insurance with
deductible option of $0 and $250 per claim.

Coverage follows the individual throughout the
calendar year for all ASA/USA Softball activities, even if you change
to another ASA/USA Softball team.
-
Individually registered teams are covered while
playing any amateur softball activity.

Coverage extends to the team as an insured entity if
all teams members register individually.
-
Liability coverage extends to the leagues as an
insured entity, as well as to league officers, if all league members
register individually.

Claims must be submitted to Bollinger within 90 days of injury. Claim
forms are located in the left-hand column of this page.

About ACE Certification: The ACE
Certification is an online process through ASA’s website which includes
a Coaching Certification Program for the beginning coaches to
experienced veterans and also includes a Background Check.
ASA's ACE Certification may be accessed at the link below. After logging
into Register ASA choose the ACE Certification.
Update 4/24/10:
Your ACE Certification
Card will be sent to you from the ASA National Office.
ASA Background Check:
ASA's Background Check may be accessed at the link below. After
logging into Register ASA choose the ASA Background Check.

4/24/10: After
completing your ASA Background Check you will have to notify the KASA
State Office at jsproul@ruraltel.net
of your Name, Team Name, and Region number. Your Background Check Card will be
sent to you from the KASA Office. Place "Background Check" in
the subject line of your email.

ACE Certification and ASA
Background Check Online
Coaches that were previously ACE Certified will
need to click on "Member Login". You will need to create a new password
by clicking on "Lost Your Password". Once you have created a new
password you may login using your email address and new password.
Coaches that were not previously
ACE Certified will need to click on "New User Registrations". Then click on
"Create Member Profile". Once you have created your Member Profile you
may login using your email address and password.

About KASA
Girls’ Fast Pitch National Qualifiers:
Who’s Eligible:
These are open tournaments meaning Kansas ASA Individually
Registered Class C, B, & A teams are eligible to participate.
KASA $50 Certificates:
Four KASA $50
Certificates will be given away. $100 for 1st Place (Two $50
Certificates), one $50 Certificate for 2nd Place, and one $50
Certificate for 3rd Place. Certificates will be awarded as
described in this paragraph regardless of the team’s classification or
acceptance of a National Championship berth. Certificates may be
redeemed for $50 off of your State or National entry fee. Teams are
limited to five (5) certificates per year.

ASA Northern National
Championship Berths:
One Class A or
Class B berth will be offered in descending order of finish.
Class A teams may only accept a Class A berth.
Class B & C teams may accept a Class A or B berth.
About Your
Classification:
Teams will enter
these tournaments based on the classification listed on their
Championship roster as approved by their local commissioner.
Exceptions:
Class C teams will have to be reclassified to accept a Class B or A
berth.
Class B teams will have to be reclassified to accept a Class A berth.
Teams that demonstrate a clear ability to compete at a higher
classification may be reclassified.
State Championships:
All participating
teams are eligible to participate in their State Championship and
compete for the $500 Travel Fund for advancing teams and an advancing
berth if not previously qualified.

Tournament
